Once upon a time, on a film set far, far away...
...we almost DIDN'T meet because one of us had nearly turned down the gig!
We had no idea an epic creative partnership was about to be born. After working together on several more projects, and collaborating as Director and DP on a short we co-wrote, we realized our creative partnership was something special. With Katherine's background in cinematography and story development, Dillon's directing and post experience, and our combined years of experience on-set, we knew we had everything we needed to launch eXNk Productions!
We wanted to use our skill and passion for visual storytelling to share stories that matter, and make high-quality, high-impact videos more affordable for those who need them using our filmmaking-style model.

I’ve been working as a cinematographer and creative producer for over a decade, but my love for storytelling actually started long before that...with books. When I read, I would imagine every detail like a movie in my head, and that’s really where my passion for storytelling truly began.
A lot of my inspiration also comes from travel. My parents are both avid travelers, and my mother is originally from Russia, so our family spent a lot of time exploring different countries when I was growing up. That early exposure to different cultures sparked my curiosity about the world and shaped the way I see and tell stories.
As an adult, I’ve carried that same curiosity with me. I’ve filmed in places like India, Costa Rica, Hungary, Croatia, and Armenia, always looking for new ways to capture the feeling of being somewhere completely new. I also speak Russian, which helps me connect with people and stories across borders.
Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to receive awards for my cinematography, including recognition for the Tamil-language short film Kanavili and for EZ Money, a short film I wrote and directed.
I also create content for filmmakers, sharing stories and lessons from set.

About Dillon Leavitt
My deep connection to storytelling began at home, cultivated by my Vietnamese immigrant mother and a steady stream of Chinese, Vietnamese, and other Asian films. I recognized early on that even in a foreign language, the power of emotion and message in a story is truly universal—a realization that ignited my lifelong dream of creating films.
From high school shorts to increasingly ambitious projects, my work quickly evolved. My time spent making independent short films and documentaries allowed me to hone a diverse skillset that is instrumental in my process. This experience ensures I can craft unique, bold stories while maintaining a very clean and sharp cinematic style. I went on to direct and edit a documentary that not only earned multiple festival awards but also confirmed my commitment to human-centric narratives.
My core belief is simple: visual stories must come from emotion and make the audience feel something, regardless of the subject or platform. This unwavering philosophy guides my work in filmmaking, social content, and every endeavor I pursue.
